CHAPTER 1
UNIQUE COURSE OF EVENTS
The story of Remco's Toyota Cresta is the weirdest and coolest I have ever heard. His car is in great shape due to money and time he put into it. The Toyota Cresta (JZX100) was its more luxurious brother of the chaser. The fact that the car has the 1JZ-GE engine which gives around 200 Horsepower. Makes it also very reliable and very sought-after by enthusiasts. How did Remco get hold of this Japanese saloon? Well, he was active in the game modding community when he met a german guy who wanted to sell his car to him. He asked for only 1500 euros due to damage to the vehicle. But the story got weirder by how more he learned about the car and the owner.
"Eventually, one thing led to the other. He got fired because his license was taken, finally making him homeless. The man lived in this car for a few months—imagine that for a moment."

CHAPTER 2
THE JOURNEY DOWN
The car was bought at a Japanese auction in 2015. The man needed a hobby project besides his work as a truck driver. Great plans were made to make something beautiful of the car. Well, now comes the weird part. The man's friends thought pulling a prank on him would be fun. They hid some ''drugs'' in his car, hoping he would get searched by the police. After he drove in a traffic check, he lost his license as a result. With friends like that, who needs enemies?
Eventually, one thing led to the other. He got fired because his license was taken, finally making him homeless. The man lived in this car for a few months—imagine that for a moment. One night the temptation to drive became too big. Even though he haven't got a license, he still went, fell asleep behind the wheel and scraped the car along the crash barrier. After that, he gave up on his dream with no money to fix it. He planned to emigrate to America and start all over. But for that, he needed tickets. So the car went on sale.

CHAPTER 3
FIXING THE CAR
Remco owned an R33 skyline before the Cresta. The only thing was if something got fixed, the next thing broke down. So for him, it was logical when he heard about the Cresta to sell the skyline. He bought the Toyota for 1500 euros.
And put in some time and money to make it what it is today. First, the crash barrier damage was fixed, and the car got a new paint job. Then the interior trim got in one color and, of course a professional clean. When I asked Remco about it, he said that the car was just really filthy on the inside. After a half year, he found this front and the back bumper on the internet. He ordered them from Russia because, apparently, many parts are available for chasers & Cresta's. Finally, the finishing touch where the rims. They are 19'' Riverside Altstadt type-2's . To quote him about the exterior, ''Styling of the car is early 00's Japanese drift scene, only it has slowly gone (not on purpose) towards the VIP/bippu side''.

CHAPTER 4
THE QUESTION
There is always one question that I specifically ask anybody. Do you want to sell your car if something better comes along?
His answer was pretty straightforward. ''The car won't easily go away, but there is one exception: an Opel Vectra A 2000 4x4''. He told me that he grew up with Opels from a young age. And that car has a special place in his heart. I completely understand his answer. Something that you grew up with will always give you that nostalgic feeling. For now, the Cresta looks just magnificent with the body kit and the riverside rims. Every day it puts a smile on his face, he says. Please consider watching the video below for the car action.
